Works closely with clients to shape strategy and lead delivery across content, websites and campaigns. Background in global B2B marketing, with a focus on technical industries.
Jess Howard founded Fenja after working in-house within a global manufacturing business, where she was responsible for leading marketing across complex, technical products and markets.
During that time, a large part of her role involved managing external agencies. It quickly became clear that the way many agencies operate doesn’t reflect how businesses actually work day to day. Projects were often constrained by rigid scopes, slowed down by layers of process, and disconnected from what teams really needed to move things forward.
Fenja was built as a more practical alternative. The goal was to work closely with businesses, stay involved in what’s actually happening and deliver marketing that supports real outcomes rather than ticking off deliverables.
Jess works as an embedded partner rather than a traditional external agency. Most of the work is ongoing, allowing her to stay close to the business, understand how things evolve and respond properly as priorities shift.
This approach means less time spent re-scoping or resetting direction and more time focused on doing useful work. Whether that’s refining messaging, supporting sales teams, or improving how a product or service is explained, the aim is always to make a tangible difference.
Much of Jess’s work sits within technical B2B environments, particularly across manufacturing, engineering and science.
A significant area of experience is within additive manufacturing, including ceramics, binder jetting, electron beam and LPBF. These are complex spaces where clarity matters just as much as creativity and where marketing needs to translate technical detail into something that is understood and acted on.
The focus is on making things clearer.
That means building marketing that:
Jess prioritises work that has a clear purpose, whether that’s improving positioning, strengthening a website, or helping a team communicate what they do more effectively.
